We hold the new Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair and Painting certificate which, effective April 22, 2010, is necessary for almost all work on 1978 or older homes.
We are finishing up the excavation and structural part of basement excavation in close-in SE Portland. The existing basement was full height on one side of the main bearing beam and a crawl space on the other. When finished, the project will have 7′ 7″ ceilings, radiant heat in the new concrete slab, a new egress window, a new full bath room and add approximately 1,000 square feet of finished living space.
We have recently been the general contractor for a new detached accessory dwelling unit featured on the Portland Built blog. It has been an exciting project, pushing standard building practices towards more advanced energy efficient designs but not with the “at any cost” mentality seen in many demonstration and show homes.
